A Letter of Authority is a document that allows Dernetz to request or discuss defined utility account information with suppliers or relevant third parties on the customer's behalf.
Suppliers often require authority before they will release contract, billing, meter, account or supply information to a broker or service provider.
Depending on its wording, an LOA may allow Dernetz to request bills, contract dates, supply identifiers, account information, meter details and supplier responses connected to the agreed service.
A Letter of Authority does not by itself create an energy supply contract. The customer retains the final commercial decision on supplier contracts and material account actions.
Customers can ask Dernetz to explain the scope of an LOA and can discuss withdrawal or changes where appropriate, subject to any actions already underway.
